As a precautionary measure, Nestle Canada is recalling one of its infant formula products.
Nestlé Canada is recalling specific lots of their Good Start 2 Concentrated Liquid Infant Formula as a precautionary measure. The company says minerals in the formula can separate and appear as black particles. If a baby drinks the formula it could lead to a lower intake of some nutrients.
The recalled product is the Nestle Good Start 2 Concentrate 359 ml with Omega Infant Formula, packaged in a tetra box.
Although Health Canada says that illnesses have been reported, it's not yet confirmed whether they were caused by the affected product.
What should you do? Recalled products should be thrown out, and you should call Nestlé Consumer Services at 416-218-2688 for reimbursement.
