Health Canada says the motor housing at the base of the seat may overheat, posing a fire hazard. There have been two reported overheating incidents in Canada, but no reported injuries. This is a joint recall with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, where 34 incidents of overheating have been reported and 63,000 units are being recalled.

What should you do?
If you own a recalled model, unplug it and stop using it immediately.  Those affected can contact Mattel for instructions on how to obtain a refund. For more information, consumers can click here or contact Mattel toll free at 1-800-432-5437 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET Monday through Friday.
