ALEX Brands has recalled over 96,000 of their baby toys due to a choking risk.
ALEX Toys has recalled their ALEX Toys Alex Jr. First Pops, First Snaps (made before November 2010) and Baby Builder toy sets because they have small parts which could become separated and pose a choking risk. The sets are sold in an assortment of plastic shapes in bright colours, and they were sold in sets of 14 and 26 pieces.

Although Health Canada has not received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries related to the use of this product in Canada, ALEX Toys has received 19 reports related to the separation of small parts associated with the pre–November 2010 building sets, 2 of which occurred in Canada; and 3 reports of separations associated with the post–November 2010 building sets. No injuries were reported.
Approximately 2,225 units of ALEX Jr. First Pops, 2,732 units of ALEX Jr. Baby Builder and 664 units of ALEX Jr. First Snaps were sold in Canada between March 2009 to June 2016. Approximately 39,200 units of ALEX Jr. First Pops, 33,100 units of ALEX Jr. Baby Builder and 19,000 units of ALEX Jr. First Snaps were sold in the United States during the same time period.

If you have one of the recalled toys, stop using it immediately and contact Alex Toys for a full refund.
