SaskPower Windscape Kite Festival
June 23-24

For two days, the prairie skies will be ablaze with kites of all kinds, from handmade art kites to giant kites to stunt kites. Kids will have a blast with special activities, including balloon sculpting, bol racing (a parachute-like wind device), kite workshops, a bubble station and face painting.

PotashCorp Fringe Theatre Festival
August 2-11

Drama reaches out to all ages at this festival: There are three KidsFringe theatre companies among the more than three dozen that are presenting a packed lineup of programming. Beyond the red curtains, the streets come alive with buskers, clowns and an open-air crafts market.

Saskatoon FolkFest
August 16-18

Families can enjoy the taste (as well as the sights and sounds) of the multicultural makeup of Saskatoon. Savour authentic dishes, sway to cultural dances or purchase artisanal wares in each of the 17 pavilions. Kids can watch a play based on a fairy tale about trolls at the Norway pavilion, or they can learn to limbo at the Caribbean pavilion.

PotashCorp Fireworks Festival
August 31-September 1

Bring the family to breathtaking River Landing, where the activities promise to be as vibrant as the fireworks choreographed to music. Balloon art, clowns, inflatable games and a spray park are sure to brighten their spirits.
