RECALL: Major cough syrup recall

Health Canada has announced the recall of 17 Triaminic, Buckleys, Neo Citran and Jack & Jill products for relief of cough, colds and fevers. This is a voluntary recall by Norvartis Consumer Health Canada.

The reason for the recall is that the child-resistant caps may fail, so it is possible for kids to open the bottles and ingest their contents. Because the products contain medicinal ingredients, like Acetaminophen, ingestion beyond the suggested dose is extremely dangerous.

PLEASE SEE THIS HEALTH CANADA NOTICE FOR FULL LIST OF RECALLED PRODUCTS.

If you have any of the affected products:
Contact Novartis Consumer Health Canada Inc. at 1-866-513-6742 for instructions, or email them at milicent.brooks@novartis.com.
