Various brands of dried basil have been recalled for possible contamination with Salmonella.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Le ministère de l'Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l'Alimentation (MAPAQ) are intensely monitoring the recall of these various brands of dried basil because there's a chance they've been contaminated with Salmonella.
The affected basil has been sold in Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, Manitoba and New Brunswick, and possibly to other provinces.
