RECALL: UPPAbaby RumbleSeat adapters

Approximately 3,500 of the popular stroller brand's RumbleSeat adapters have been recalled due to a potential fall hazard.

UPPAbaby has recalled the adapters for their RumbleSeats due to a potential fall hazard. By using the RumbleSeat with the recalled adapters, the seat can become detached from the stroller frame, thus causing the occupant to fall. Here are the affected SKU numbers:

  • 0252 (without footrest): 0252-DNY, 0252-GEO, 0252-JKE, 0252-LSY, 0252-MYA, 0252-PAS, 0252-SAM, 0252-TAY
  • 0216 (with footrest): 0216-DNY, 0216-GEO, 0216-JKE, 0216LSY, 0216-MYA, 0216-PAS, 0216-SAM, 0216-TAY

As of September 18, 2017, UPPAbaby received 2 reports of consumer incidents in Canada. Both reports included injuries to the occupant’s face. 1 report included damage to the occupant’s tooth.

Approximately 3,500 of the affected products were sold in Canada between January 2015 and March 2017.

What should you do?

If you have one of the recalled products, you should stop using it immediately and order a replacement adapter through the UPPAbaby website.
