Wal-Mart Canada Corp. recalls 70,000 Rock Solo karaoke microphones and speakers due to dangerous overheating.

Health Canada and Wal-Mart Canada Corp. have recalled the Rock Solo karaoke microphone and speaker after discovering that the product can overheat, resulting in smoke, burning, melting and possible explosion.
The microphone and speaker is sold in black and rose gold, and comes with a USB to Micro USB charging cable and Micro USB to Auxiliary cable. The brand name Rock Solo Tzumi can be found printed on the side of the microphone. The products can be identified by either the model number 5279 BK or 5280 RG, or the UPC number 841351152792 or 841351152808–located on the bottom of the packaging.
Approximately 70,000 units of the affected products were sold in Canada between November 2017 and January 2018.
As of January 29, 2018, Wal-Mart has received three reported incidents in Canada: one incident in which the product exploded, causing property damage; and two incidents in which the product overheated and melted. So far, there have been no reports of injuries related to the use of this product in Canada.
What should you do? Consumers should immediately stop using the product and return it along with any available packaging to their nearest Walmart Canada store for a full refund.
