Certain batches of two Clorox Liquid Plumr drain clog remover products are being recalled for not meeting child-resistant packaging requirements.
Clorox is recalling certain batches of Liquid Plumr Slow Flow Fighter (formerly Liquid Plumr Foaming Pipe Snake) and Liquid Plumr Pro Strength Urgent Clear drain clog removers for not meeting child-resistant packaging requirements.
While there haven't been any reports of injuries related to this recall, the products are being recalled because the tops do not meet childproofing requirements, and the product may leak, posing a poisoning risk to kids.
If you have one of these products, check for the following batch/lot numbers:
Approximately 1,031,658 bottles of Liquid Plumr Pro Strength Urgent Clear were sold in Canada between January 2012 and April 2016, and 1,567,248 bottles of Liquid Plumr Slow Flow Fighter (formerly Liquid Plumr Foaming Pipe Snake) were sold between July 2012 and March 2016. No other Liquid Plumr products were affected.
What should you do? If you have either of the recalled products in your home, keep them out of reach of kids and contact your municipality for instructions on how to dispose of or recycle the products.
Canadians with concerns can contact the Liquid Plumr call centre toll-free at 1-855-490-0705 or email them at liquidplumr@inmar.com.
