Every month, Netflix Canada adds family-friendly shows and movies for your kids to stream. Here's what's coming up in August 2018.

11 kids’ movies and shows coming to Netflix Canada in August 2018

Netflix Canada has announced which new kids' TV shows and movies it will be adding to its lineup in August 2018. Here's what's coming up!

But first, an important note: The age recommendations offered below are approximate. Every kid is different—you're the best judge of what's appropriate and what your kid can handle.

The Land Before Time

Best for: Ages 5+ When an earth-shattering quake kills both of his parents, a young brontosaurus named Littlefoot teams up with other orphaned dinosaurs to survive. Available Aug. 1.

Rise of the Guardians

Best for: Ages 6+ Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy and others battle a malicious spirit determined to destroy the innocent beliefs and dreams of children. Available Aug. 1.

Dinotrux Supercharged (season 3)

Best for: Ages 6+ Whether by land, air or sea, the Dinotrux tackle some of their biggest builds ever while facing the double threat of brothers D-Structs and D-Stroy. Available Aug. 3.

Storks

Best for: Ages 5+ Junior and his fellow storks only deliver packages now, but they’ll have to make an exception when one very special baby order squeaks through. Available Aug. 6.

Voltron: Legendary Defender (season 7)

Best for: Ages 7+ After saving Shiro and defeating Lotor, the Paladins are finally able to set a course for Earth. After a perilous journey, they discover that their home planet is not how they left it. Available Aug. 10.

Splash and Bubbles (season 2)

Best for: Ages 3+ Curious pals Splash, Bubbles, Dunk and Ripple have fun exploring new places, making new friends and learning all about their amazing ocean home. Available Aug. 13.

Pinky Malinky

Best for: Ages 7+ Pinky Malinky sees the bright side of everything, including being born a hot dog. With his BFFs in tow, this little wiener takes a bite out of life. Available Aug. 17.

Spirit Riding Free (season 6)

Best for: Ages 7+ Lucky and the PALs canter into more adventures with a new chapter of the Frontier Fillies. With each new challenge, Lucky, Spirit and the PALs work together as they run wild and live free. Available Aug. 17.

Ask the Storybots (season 2)

Best for: Ages 4+ How do ears hear? Why can't I eat dessert all the time? The StoryBots tackle these and other tough questions in an all-new season of asks. Available Aug. 24.

Trolls: The Beat Goes On! (season 3)

Best for: Ages 5+ As the trolls turn a new enemy into a friend, Poppy trains Branch in "hair-jitsu," Smidge woos a crush and DJ Suki learns to throw the best party ever. Available Aug. 24.

The Ponysitters Club

What’s being taken off Netflix Canada in July 2018?

Netflix removes content from its rotation every month, and it’s nice to have a heads up in case your kid is seriously addicted to a particular show or movie. In August 2018, the kids’ movies being removed are Finding Dory (August 1) and School of Rock (August 24).
