RECALL: Baby doll poses burn hazard

Health Canada has announced the recall of My Sweet Baby Cuddle Care Doll, which coughs, cries, giggles and blushes (cheeks turn red). The electrical device inside the doll may overheat and pose a burn hazard.

12 incidents have been reported to US Wal-Mart stores—two of which involved burns and blistering on the thumb. Six incidents were reported to Walmart Canada and Health Canada; in two of those incidents, a hole burned right through the doll's clothes.

The affected dolls have been sold at Walmart stores throughout Canada from July 2013 to January 2014.
