It can be difficult to tell whether your baby is sick or not, especially in the early stages of an illness. If your child is unwell, she will likely develop symptoms such as a fever, a poor appetite, congestion, a runny nose or cough, vomiting or diarrhea along with the crying. You can check your baby’s temperature and look for a rash. Some children with ear infections will pull their ears. Many children who are teething will be fussier than usual. If you’ve recently changed and fed your baby, and you still can’t get her to settle, see your doctor to rule out anything serious and to get treatment as required.
