Health Canada and VTech Technologies Canada Ltd. has recalled the Lights & Lullabies travel mobile after discovering that the clamp that attaches the mobile to the crib rail can break, posing an injury hazard to infants.

The 4 in 1 VTech Lights & Lullabies Travel Mobile lights up and plays songs, sounds and phrases. It has three soft dangling stars that are yellow, purple and green, and an arm with a clamp that can be attached to cribs, play yards, strollers and infant carriers. The clamp attaching the mobile to the crib rail can break, causing the mobile to fall.

Approximately 4,819 mobiles were sold in Canada and approximately 37,000 were sold in the United States between June 2017 and November 2017.

As of December 5, 2017, the company has received one report of incident in Canada, and no reports of injury. In the United States, the company has received two reports of the clamp cracking and no reports of injuries.

What should you do? Consumers should immediately stop using the product and contact VTech for a replacement or refund.
