Food recall: Heinz recalls another batch of baby food (Update)

Heinz Canada is recalling another one of its baby foods due to risk of spoilage.

Heinz-Canada-Recalls

Heinz Canada is recalling another baby food product, its Sweet Potato & Beef Medley. This is in addition to the Chicken with Broth, which was recalled two weeks ago. Both products are being recalled due to faulty seals, which may have called spoilage.

The Sweet Potato & Beef Medley product comes in a 213 millilitre glass jar. The jars have an expiry date of August 4, 2107 and UPC code 0 579050 2.

The Chicken with Broth product being recalled is 100 mL in size and has the following codes: 1. 2016SE26 2. 2016DE12

What to do if you have this product

If you bought the recalled product, do not consume it. Throw it out or return it to the grocery store for a full refund or exchange.

While there have been no reported illnesses, if your child has consumed the affected product, watch for flu-like symptoms, including vomiting and diarrhea. If you have any concerns, seek medical attention.
