3 things to do on a winter walk
Chill out with your family this weekend and enjoy the great outdoors with these fun ideas
Bird feeders
Place a small amount of birdseed in your child’s hand; have her play statue with her arm resting on a railing or tree branch, waiting for birds to land. A little patience is all it takes — the birds will do the rest!
I spy…
Before you leave home, make a list of items your little one can look for and check off, like “your breath,” icicles or animals. Things like pine cones, feathers or leaves can be used for a fun craft later.
Stay on track
Use a digital camera and take photos of tracks in the snow. When you get home, help your junior wilderness explorer figure out which animals have been pawing around.
