    You mention on the "Going to a drive-in" activity that you can bring your own snacks from home. Actually, most drive-ins have a policy against bringing your own food - although many people do, it's technically against the rules.

    Some great ideas ... for days when you can't or don't want to get out then check out lots of indoor ideas at gettingstuckin.co.uk and never hear "i'm bored!" again !! .. all ideas tested by me and my 5 year old twins :)

    Really!!? Picking wildflowers?!! That's the most irresponsible suggestion I've heard. Unless you are certain that the species you're picking is very common (think dandelions), then they should be left where they are. Just because a flower appears common in a localized area doesn't mean it's not rare or endangered. Many of our plants are at risk (especially on the prairies). You should never pick wildflowers.

    Our hope is that all childhoods would be filled with these simple and fun moments of childhood. As a mom of a now sophomore in college it goes by so quickly, only 18 summers with your babies. I have 17 and 12 left with my other to and plan to treasure every moment of their summertimes with me.
