• Your baby is the size of a big cherry, but when it comes to shape, she looks more like a shrimp. From the top of her head to the bottom of her buttocks, she is about 31 to 42 mm (1.25 to 1.65 in) long. And now, for the first time in your pregnancy, her weight is large enough to measure week by week. She weighs just about 5 g (0.18 oz).
• Her eyes have formed and her facial features are becoming recognizable. Her fingers and toes are also becoming distinct.
• By the end of the week, your baby’s fetal period of development begins. She will grow rapidly and develop specialized parts of her body as the three cell layers — the ectoderm, endoderm, and mesoderm — form.
• The ectoderm will develop into her nervous system, skin and hair; the endoderm into her gastrointestinal system, liver, pancreas and thyroid; and the mesoderm into her bones, muscles, connective tissue and blood system.
Baby your breasts

In fact, you’ll continue to notice changes in your breasts throughout your pregnancy as they gear up to produce milk for your newborn baby. Your breasts may grow larger, your nipples may get darker and bigger, and the veins in your breasts may become more noticeable underneath your skin.
