Welcome to the new Today's Parent site
We are so excited to finally share the new Todaysparent.com with you! Our team has been hard at work on the redesign for the last 10 months. We were bursting with so many ideas and thoughts — it often felt as if we were pregnant with a website! Thanks to a fabulous team and tons of support, it was a true labour of love. We worked hard, but we also had a lot of fun. We got the most out of our long days and built great friendships along the way.
We’ve designed the new site with parents in mind: Big fonts for tired, sleep-deprived eyes; straightforward design for time-pressed moms and dads. Our new message boards are state of the art, which makes it even easier to join in the conversation and connect with other parents.

We don't have access to Watch me Grow anymore?!! I have been using that feature for 8 1/2 years and recorded all three of my kids' information there! I too, did NOT receive an email from TP about it. And I check junk mail daily. I am so disappointed! YOU, at Today's Parent must have access to the old site and information. We demand that the feature either be brought back, or that you provide us with a way to retrieve the old information.

i also didnt recieve an email about the watch me grow program!!!! I am pretty upset about not being able to get my kids info!!! A lot of people seem to be in the same situaltion :( If something isnt borken, dont fix it!!!!

I agree with Jennifer; I do not recall getting a message stating the Watch me Grow feature would be gone. I am very disappointed that I no longer have access to my daughter's info. I, unfortunately, did not record it elsewhere and now it is lost.

I too don't recall getting an email advising me it would be gone! Is there no way to allow us the link to retrieve our information? This is brutal!!! It should follow my account and sign on.... please tell me there is a way to get my information back....

Thank you for your question re: Watch me Grow. This is a feature that we did not bring over to the new site. We sent out messaging in advance of the site relaunch to let users know it would no longer be available. Thanks again, Alex, todaysparent.com

I've been asking for 5 or 6 weeks now in "Technical assistance" and I still dont' have an answer. That's ridiculous. How can you ignore a question from a loyal user (I've been coming to TP for 6 years).
Who do I have to contact to get an answer???? This is extremely frustrating. Like I said in my post, I trusted TP's website and put all my kids info and then it just disapeared with NO WARNING at all.
I also see that a couple of users have asked about "watch me grow" in this comment section and nobody bothered answering them.

Very disappointed...absolutely DISlike the new look :( I've been coming here since around 1995...this was my *home away from home*...i just dont feel that anymore. I can't find my way around here at all :(

The only thing that I was hoping to get today was the recipe for Banana Bread as i loved it. I'm just a little disappointed that it's not on here at the moment... I loved the recipe box. Other then that, the site looks fantastic! A clean look and very modern. Great job! :)

Overall I really like the new look/layout for Today's Parent. It is clean, straight-forward and fresh. Congrats!
However, I have to mention that pages with the larger images look a bit awkward since the image really hangs over to the left due to the fact that the body copy comes in about 2" to the right... I would justify the copy around the large images, just like you do the other pages... just saying..

I've been using the forums since 2003 for information, support, guidance and to share my own experiences...I came here today to find out that it's all gone. Very dissapointed in TP....I dont know if they're completely gone or what but I can't find the forums, how sad. Good luck with trying to keep your loyal subscribers, what a silly thing to do to get rid of what likely gave you the most traffic on your site.

I think the site looks clean, polished, and beautiful. It is a monumental feat to modernize and clean up a website with so much content, and I am excited about the changes. Nice job, team!

But we should note that anything posted there previously should have moved over, so it's not quite like starting from scratch. We do so appreciate your contributions on the boards and will be looking for ways to integrate YOUR stories into our articles in the future. We know change is hard, but bear with us. We're sorry for the temporary inconvenience as you navigate the new site.It will take some getting used to but the new features are well worth it.

AND...no offence TP..but do you know how many articles I can find in the world wide web about finance,and budgeting....recipes ect? Not the same at all as hearing about someones first hand budgeting experiences, or family banana bread recipe...or what symptoms THEIR kid had with certain illnesses, and what they did to help ect.
And also,whileI'm talking...the article about what not to buy at the dollar store...while well written, and interesting to read, provided me with no info that I was not already aware of. There might be lead paint on a keychain? Really? That is the same as most articles here are, which is why I cancelled my magazine sub, but continued coming to the site. Iteresting to read...but notmuch that I was not already aware of. Other parents kids/lives/experiences is waht gave me knowledge here. Please bring back forums.

but......the forums were so good for info/advice/opinions from other parents who have been there/done that! Thats what I liked best about TP, I did not post often, but reading all the other posts has helped me tremendously with so many things since I was pregnant with my dd 11 years ago:(
The forums are the one and only reason I return to the site, I would browse the rest occasionally, but talking to other "real" moms as opposed to reading an article is what draws me here.
I guess I'll have to go to chatelaine now:( The end of an era if the forums are gone imo:(

I think (and hope) they finally got rid of those nasty forums once and for all - congratulations TP!! Now they control the conversation and no more nasty back and forths. Cudos to you TP you have brought the conversation back to parenting!!
