It Ain't Easy Going Green
I know it should be. Easy, that is. Having a baby should have been a huge motivating factor to get my head out of the sand and embrace the cause of saving our planet. It's not negotiable anymore that we need to make significant changes—for the good of our children and all the generations that follow, for our own good too. Then why am I so reluctant, as if the more I know, the more guilt I feel about all that I'm not doing? Why don't I buy organic food? Why do I still use plastic bags?
Everyone has to start somewhere and I'm making the commitment here and now to get started, even if it's slowly. You can too. Read Green Baby for great information and suggestions, including how to prioritize the organic food you buy, find non-toxic cleaning products and reduce your family's exposure to pollutants.
More helpful ideas are on the way in the July issue of Today's Parent. We'll also be featuring a special guest forum July 9-11 so you can ask questions about making your family's lifestyle more environmentally friendly. Mark your calendar!
Until next time,
