  2. Another site my kids love is drawinspiration.com, they print out the page and it give them something completely random to draw. So clever, and they love it.

  3. I did not see: http://www.kidzworld.com on your list. Why is that? They are a very good, well moderated social site for kids. My kids (UK) have been on the site for years. Are you a bit out of touch? Or are you being paid to promote those 30 sites? Maybe you should contact them – they may be interested.

  4. Thanks for sharing! Lots of interesting websites here, but I would imagine that a 12 year old girl could enjoy the “How Stuff Works” website as much as a boy. I hope that parents/caregivers would encourage girls to wonder about and explore their world–especially at an age when girls are prone to losing interest in science and math. We need more girls to get excited about the STEM subject areas. :)

Your NHL for Kids link does not work, unfortunately.

    • Thanks for pointing that out! We’ve updated with a different kids’ site as NHL for Kids seems to no longer exist. Cheers!

  11. Great list… found some new site to visit with my grandkids. I find that kids learn faster when they’re having fun. Another good resource for safe site I’ve found is kidsafeseal.com… they review sites and apps for kids. An example of fun site that we found on Kids Safe Seal is Daily Jigsaws ( http://www.dailyjigsawpuzzles.net/ ). We now visit almost daily and compete against each other and I get to explain to the children what the animals, objects or places in the puzzles are; they love it.

  15. Not sure if Mighty Girl should be on here, as it excludes boys and, by the description seems to be a shopping site.

Also, like savannah said, moshi monsters is a good website!
