Orange-Coconut Sugar Scrub

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1¼ cups coconut oil and ¾ cup granulated sugar, stirring until fully incorporated. 2. Stir in 20 to 25 drops orange essential oil. 3. Scoop into a sealable glass jar. To Use: Gently rub a quarter-size amount in a circular motion on moist skin. Rinse and pat dry. Shelf life: 6 months. SAFETY FIRST: Before you begin, sterilize all tools and containers in hot water or isopropyl alcohol. Store all products in your fridge.

Creamy Body Butter

1. Add ½ cup each organic cocoa butter, shea butter, coconut oil and olive oil to a double boiler. (If you do not have one, use a glass or metal bowl over a pot of boiling water.) 2. Continuously whisk until melted. Remove and refrigerate mixture for 1 hour or until firm. 3. With a hand mixer, whip mixture until creamy and light. Add ½ tsp essential oil of your choice and blend with mixer. 4. Spoon body butter into glass jars. Mixture may seem a bit moist after whipping but will firm up after a few minutes. Shelf life: 6 months to 1 year.

Hydrating Face Serum

1. Fill a dark-coloured glass dropper bottle with 1 tbsp jojoba oil, ½ tbsp wheat germ oil and ½ tbsp rosehip oil. 2. Add in 15 drops rose essential oil. 3. Shake for 1 to 2 minutes. To Use: At night, rub 3 to 6 drops into your fingers and press gently onto your face before applying moisturizer. Shelf life: Up to 6 months.

Fruity Lip Balm

1. Add 3 tbsp petroleum jelly to a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 30- to 45-second intervals until melted. Stir until clear and smooth. 2. Slowly add Kool-Aid powder, stirring until you reach desired colour (this will also make it tasty). 3. Scoop gloss into resealable airtight pots and allow to solidify overnight in the fridge. Shelf life: 6 months to 1 year.

Moisturizing Banana Face Mask

1. In a clean bowl, place 2 tsp honey and ½ peeled ripe banana. Using a fork, mash together until incorporated and smooth. To Use: Apply the mask to clean skin for 10 minutes, rinse off with warm water and pat dry. Shelf life: 2 to 3 days.
