Handprint Canada Day Flag

Your child can show his patriotic spirit by lending his hand in creating the Canadian flag.

You’ll Need:

  • White poster paper
  • Red water based paint
  • Paint brushes and paint containers

    1. Cut the poster paper into a rectangular flag shape keeping in mind the size of the hands that are being used.

    2. Using a straight edge, draw two blocks of the same size on the edges of the paper. These will be the two red parts of the Canadian flag.

    3. Using red paint, have your child paint the sections. After you are done, let the paint dry.

    4. Now the hand printing part! Three hand prints will be needed to complete the maple leaf.

    5. When the hand printed maple leaf is completed, paint a small stem at the bottom of the leaf to complete the flag.
