Corn Critters

First, peel the green husk and silk from an ear of corn. With scissors, tidy up the ragged ends of the husks by cutting off the bottom 2.5 cm (1 in.). Place one husk vertically on a table. Layer two more husks on top. Place corn silk across the middle of the husks, forming a T. Fold the corn husks in half and wrap a pipe cleaner around them, just below the silk. Fold another husk in half lengthwise to make an arm. Separate the front and back husks and place the arm up between them. Wrap another pipe cleaner around the middle corn husks to make a trunk. In a week, when the doll dries out and turns yellow, add facial features with permanent markers. Dress your corn creature in doll clothes or design your own outfits.
