You’ll need:
• small square or round glass votive jars (in craft or dollar stores)
• decorative gems (oval glass blobs)
• tacky glue or Weldbond glue
• votive candle

Make sure the glass is clean and dry, and lay the jar on one side. Apply glue to the back of a gem and position it on the rim of the jar. Continue all along that side. When the glue has dried slightly, turn the jar onto another side and continue applying the decorations. Make a pattern of different colours or use just one — it will look pretty either way. When the gems are well dried, add a little candle — the coloured glass casts a cheery glow on a winter’s night.
