Beadiful Snowflake

Hang this ornament in a window where it will sparkle in the sun, or on your tree so it reflects the twinkling lights. (Ages 4+)

Judy Ann Sadler

Hang this ornament in a window where it will sparkle in the sun, or on your tree so it reflects the twinkling lights. (Ages 4+)
You’ll need: 2 tinsel pipe cleaners; a ruler; scissors; sparkling beads; fishing line.
1. Cut each pipe cleaner in half so that you have 4 15 cm (6 in.) pieces.
2. Take 3 of the pieces and cut them in half again. You will now have 6 7.5 cm (3 in.) pieces and a 15 cm (6 in.) piece.
3. Hold the 6 short pieces together. Very tightly wrap, then twist, the longer pipe cleaner piece around the centre of the short pieces.
4. Evenly spread out the pipe cleaner ends. Trim the 2 long ones so they are even with the others.
5. Thread a bead onto each of the 14 ends. If the holes in the beads are large, you may need to bend the pipe cleaner end over to hold the bead in place.
6. Tie a length of fishing line around the centre area of the snowflake. Knot it into a loop so you can hang up your new ornament.
