Take one inexpensive pair of flip-flops, add flowers, buttons, beads or other colourful trims, and you’ve got great-looking, personalized footwear. Young kids can choose trims and arrange them on the flip-flops, but an adult needs to use the hot glue gun. Ages 4+

You'll Need: a pair of flip-flops; a toilet-paper roll; a hot glue gun; assorted trims.

Make sure the flip-flops are clean and dry.

Tuck a toilet-paper roll under the straps of one of the flip-flops. This will hold up the straps so it’s easier to glue on trims.

Play around with your trims and decide how you will arrange them on the straps. Glue them in place.

Decorate the other flip-flop.

Note: Depending on the types of trims you’re using, the flip-flops may not be waterproof.
