Tori Spelling went through life-threatening complications during her fourth pregnancy, and she is finally recovering from the after effects.

We knew Tori Spelling, 39, had serious post-C-section complications, but we didn't know she'd been so extremely ill for months. We now know she almost died during her fourth pregnancy — with the newest addition to the Spelling-McDermott clan, baby Finn Davey, the "miracle baby."

Yes, in the latest issue of Us Weekly Magazine, Tori reveals that she almost didn't make it when she was pregnant with Finn because she developed a condition called "placenta previa" (in which the placenta takes an abnormal position next to or covering the opening of the cervix), at just 20 weeks along.

At 20 weeks, Tori was taken to the hospital for severe bleeding. She remained there for 10 weeks. When she was finally released, she was put on bedrest for four months. No wonder we didn't see photos of her throughout this pregnancy. She usually loves being out and about with her adorable kids and fabulous maternity maxi dresses.

They came very close to terminating the pregnancy, according to the actress. And she's very lucky she didn't lose her life.

"I just remember thinking, I can't leave three children behind," Tori tells Us of her son Liam, 5, and daughters Stella, 4, and Hattie, 12 months — with husband Dean McDermott, 45. Indeed, it's being said that she developed placenta previa because she conceived Finn just one month after giving birth to Hattie.

Thankfully, all is well now, and Tori is reaping the rewards of her terrible ordeal.

"When they put him in my arms I was like, 'We made it,'" she tells Us. "We have an insane bond. We've been through hell and back."

Now that she's well, Tori is ready to share her story. She even points to the Us Weekly story on her website. "I'm sharing for the first time the story of my scary pregnancy condition," she writes, "the journey my family went through, and the ultimate reward."

Yeah, @sma. I did the math, too, and was wondering about that timing. I know she had the baby at 37 weeks.... So maybe she was well enough at 30 weeks.... And, yes, in this case they were saying the pp was due to having babies close together. But, it's absolutely true, that that's not the only potential cause. Thanks for pointing it out!

20 weeks plus 10 weeks = 30 weeks.... pregnancy is only 40 weeks... how was she home on bedrest for the remaining 4 months of pregnancy when there was only 10 weeks remaining. Placenta previa can happen to anyone... not because she had babies close together. My sister had it with her first. I did not have it, although my children are only 1 year apart. Glad Tori and her family are healthy and safe enjoying eachother.
