Just seven weeks after giving birth to her second child, Maggie Gyllenhaal, 34, made a rare appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon earlier this week to promote her new movie Hysteria.
Because her new baby, Gloria Ray, is still so wee, Maggie felt a little out of sorts during the interview, telling Jimmy she felt like she was "barely here."
"[She's a] tiny baby," Maggie explained. "This is kind of the first time I've really left her!"
Maggie also talked about the origins of Gloria's name. "We thought of her name when we were at this concert that Patti Smith played at.... She played 'Gloria,'" Maggie said. "It was a couple of years ago and we just thought, maybe we'll name our daughter that one day."
But after Gloria was born, Maggie's hubby, Peter Sarsgaard, 41, played The Doors' version of the song, and she almost regretted the name choice.
"My husband played me The Doors' version of 'Gloria' two days after my daughter was born and it was so dirty, I couldn't handle it. It was a super, super dirty version! Van Morison has an awesome version, which is the one Patti Smith is covering, but she does hers totally her own (way)."
Maggie and Peter are also parents to Ramona, 5. They were married in 2009.
DISCUSS: Did anyone ever make you think twice about your children's names??
Love!
