Do your kids drink caffeinated pop? Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's do!

Move over Toddlers and Tiaras, Angelina and Brad also give their kids "Coca-Cola" for a boost of energy

This kind of makes me wonder how much Coke is paying Brad and Angelina for some pimping because this is the second time I've heard Brad talk about "Coca-Cola" in the last week. Hmmm....

Apparently, in a forthcoming episode of Inside the Actors' Studio, Brad (48) tells James Lipton that he occasionally has to bribe his six kids (Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, Zahara, 7, Shiloh, 5, and Vivienne and Knox, 3) with "Coca-Cola" to get them out the door: "I admit there's times like, 'We gotta get up. Get up...! Here's your shoes. Here's your shoes. Drink this Coke. Drink this Coca-Cola. Drink it all. Right now! Drink it! Drink it! Drink it!' Just so we could get 'em up and going."

And it's funny, I heard him say the same thing on the red carpet before last weekend's SAG awards. I remember thinking, "huh?" And then I moved on with my night.

Honestly, I can't judge the guy for that because (a) I myself don't have 6 kids under the age of 10, and (b) I kind of only wish I was that easy going about pop and junk food....

How about you? Would you give your kids Coke to get them going in the morning?

(Also, I'm ashamed to admit, I watched Toddlers and Tiaras for the first time the other day to see what all the crazy was about, and OY. There was a lot of pop and mystery "go-go" juice being ingested by those poor kids.)

Love!

And, hey! Want more BRAD? Check him out at last week's SAG awards. *SWOON*! Do you think he and Angelina had the same hairdo, too...? >

We don't drink pop much, but I have been known to give my kids Tetley Perk tea in the morning if we are going to have a long, activity-filled day.

I don't think it's bad to let kids have pop ever once in a while. They can have some with a dinner. It won't hurt them. It just all depends on there ages also.

Oh relax - we've all done things as parents we're not proud of. I drink Coke Zero in the morning and sometimes the kids will ask for a sip - granted I don't feed it to them as a breakfast drink, but even if I did once in a while, who cares? (gads, and it's got caffeine AND aspartame!!) I agree with the other mom though that I would definitely be the one who would have to drink the caffeine to get 6 kids out the door, not the other way around!!

That sounds weird... bribing them with a Coke as a treat, I could understand, but these are not middle age men that work long hours... they're children. They should not be experiencing an energy crash in the morning... no?

I will say having that many kids to get ready in the morning I am pretty sure I would be the one drinking the pop-not wasting it on the kids.

I don't have 6 kids either, but my girlfriend down the road has 5 kids aged 7 and under. She is NOT a poster child for feeding her kids healthy even in her own words & she does NOT bribe them for any reason with any pop ever! Seems a bit extreme to me.
