Stunning Salma Hayek, 45, gave birth to her first child, Valentina Paloma Pinault, when she was 41 years old. Here's what she told Oprah about waiting until her 40s:
It’s a little nerve-racking to wait that long, but it’s the best time...because you’ve done so many other things in your life. You just get it out of your system, and you can really relax into being a mother.... If you’re 23, you don’t know this because you think you have to do so many more things. But if you already did them, then you can really focus and enjoy every minute of it.
I thought I was going to have to work really hard at getting pregnant because of my age, but then I just got pregnant.

And anybody pregnant right now, there's push gifts here. Tell your baby-father."

Thanks - I love to read pregnancy & birth stories over 40!
So many think that it is not possible, or that it can only be the result of donor eggs.
But I have found that:
"In 2009, there were 105,827 live births in the United States to women ages 40 through 44 -- 7,320 live births to women 45 to 49 --and-- 569 live births to women 50-64.
In 2009, there were only 806 live births to women over 43, using donor eggs."
